Hei, og velkommen til min blogg.

Jeg heter Ubah A. Aden, er aktivist og stolt norsksomaler som ennå ikke begriper at hun har bodd her over halvparten av sitt liv. Merkelig med tiden, kan man vel si. Men jeg er takknemlig for hvordan tiden har vært mot meg.  Det er her jeg har tatt mine utdannelser, skaffet meg min først jobb, blitt forelsket og født mine tre barn. Det er her jeg har fått tilliten til å utføre noen ærefulle oppgaver, som blant annet det å være bystyrerepresentant for Oslo og foreldrerepresentant for FUG i to perioder.

For en herlig og spennende tid har det vært for meg, og det er jeg ekstremt takknemlig for.

I min lille verden her, kommer jeg til å blogge på forskjellige språk. (norsk, somali og engelsk). Så det er bare å  holde rett i munnen og følge med.

SUPERVISOR AND CERTIFIED TRAINER IN THESE AREAS:

  • Women Can Do It Program (WCDI): Empowerment program that raises awareness about gender inequality and increases and simultaneously encourages women to participate in society. WCDI has been conducted in over 25 countries worldwide.
  • International Child Development Program (ICDB): ICDP program aims to enrich the relationships between children and those who care for them. The ethos of ICDP is to provide for human care by activating empathy and education of both caregivers and their children. ICDP helps parents to be confident in their methods of child rearing. During my Councillor period I received support for my proposal for increased recruitment and implementation of parental guidance program ICDP:

  • Conflict prevention and School Mediation: School Mediation is a training which is all about creating a healthy community and learning environment for everyone at school. Through systematic work to develop empathy, teamwork skills, self-control and accountability is the goal of creating a learning environment where bullying, violence and serious conflicts have bad conditions.
